Google Adsense: Do I Need A Pin Number For Google Adsense?

When you accumulate $10.00 in earnings, Google Adsense will send you a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to the payment address you supplied when you signed up. This is just another security precaution that Google Adsense has in place to protect their publishers but it is important.

Once you’ve been mailed a PIN number, your account payments will be on hold until the PIN is entered in your account. You can still have access to your account and earn money; you just won’t be paid until the PIN is entered. If it hasn’t been entered within 180 days from the initial issue date of your PIN, your account will be disabled and your earnings will be refunded to the appropriate advertisers.

To enter your PIN after you receive it in the mail:

1. Log in to your AdSense account at https://www.google.com/adsense
2. Click the My Account tab
3. Continue to the Payment History page
4. Click the Please enter your PIN link
5. Enter your PIN and click Submit

You’re now well on your way to receiving your first Google Adsense check.

PIN Replacement

If you do not receive your first PIN within 2 - 4 weeks from the initial issue date, you can still request for a replacement. Bear in mind that PIN replacement is limited to 2 times only and that you will need to wait 3 weeks after your last PIN was mailed before requesting a new one.

To request a new PIN:

1. Log in to your AdSense account at https://www.google.com/adsense
2. Click the My Account tab
3. Continue to the Payment History page
4. Click the Please enter your PIN link
5. Click Request a new PIN
